About Homepage
Homepage lets Kiwis sell their own home, easy as. Each home gets its own standalone website at its own web address, plus a matching set of marketing materials: flyer, fence sign, open home posters and social media images. Buyers enquire directly with the owner. There is no agent, no commission, and no ads on the property site.
Who it is for
Owners who want to sell privately and keep the commission, and who are happy to show the house and talk to buyers themselves. Most people who use it are selling a family home somewhere in New Zealand and want the marketing to look as good as an agency campaign without the agency price. It also suits owners who are not on the market but would consider the right offer: they can claim their address as “open to offers” for free, with nothing else published.
What you get
A property website at a web address you choose, for example 12-cottage-crescent.homepage.org.nz, with your photos, a walkthrough video, 3D tours, documents such as the LIM and title, open home times and an enquiry form. A colour palette taken from your own photos is applied to the site and to every printed piece, so the home is the brand, not us. From the same details you get an open home sign, a fence sign, a sign in sheet, a print ready A4 flyer and social media images, each with a QR code that opens your site. Enquiries land in your inbox and on your dashboard. Buyers never need an account, and your own contact details are shared with a buyer only if you choose.
What Homepage is not
Homepage is a marketing platform, not a real estate agency. We do not appraise, negotiate, hold deposits or prepare sale documents. When you and a buyer agree terms, a lawyer prepares the Sale and Purchase agreement and both sides use their own lawyer for conveyancing, exactly as they would in an agented sale. How it compares
A full service agency in New Zealand typically costs tens of thousands of dollars in commission and marketing on an ordinary family home, and does nearly everything for you. Tall Poppy provide a handy Savings Calculator that show their agency rates, which are competitive in the industry. A private listing on a portal such as Trade Me Property gives you the audience and an enquiry inbox, and nothing else. Homepage sits alongside either: it gives you a standalone site, a marketing pack, open home management and the enquiry handling that used to eat the hours in a private sale.
Where it is at
Homepage is launching in late 2026 and the pilot is free. You can register your interest now, and if you give your address we hold that web address for you. Homepage.org.nz is operated by Homepage Limited, a New Zealand company based in Wellington, for properties in New Zealand only.
